She has helped hundreds of survivors tell their stories to Diane Sawyer, Robin Roberts and Anderson Cooper.
She is passionate about improving the field of trauma-informed journalism and helping survivors navigate the media.
Media Training for Survivors
Elisa’s unique combination of experience as a trauma therapist and former journalist provides the safety and knowledge of everything that comes with being thrust into the public glare after a trauma.
She can provide a roadmap for survivors so they know what to expect and how to prepare for navigating the media onslaught.
Trauma-Informed Training
Elisa provides training for journalists on how to use trauma-informed strategies to interview survivors.
She can also help them identify their own symptoms of vicarious trauma and what to do to address them.
